Detailed review of SKALE
SKALE is a Proof blockchain network of-Stake, built on Ethereum, which claims to have unlimited throughput due to its modular architecture. Essentially, as new independent nodes are added to the network, throughput increases while remaining fast and secure.
SKL is the platform's native token, which both provides access to network resources for developers and acts as a reward.
The idea behind SKALE is to allow developers to rent chains for their decentralized applications (dApps) so that end users can make transactions without gas. SKALE can support games, Web3 applications and NFT platforms. Developers pay SKALE on a subscription basis.
In addition to being a developer, SKALE allows its users to participate in the network as:
- Validators. They host the native SKL token on Ethereum and support networks. These users are rewarded in SKL from the fees that developers pay to rent chains and issue the network (the project issues new tokens and hands them over to validators directly to support them).
- Delegates. They delegate their SKL to validators on the network and receive a portion of their reward in return.
The SKALE Project (SKL)
The project was launched in 2018 by Stan Kladko, Ph.D. who worked in Silicon Valley for a time, and Jack O'Holleran, an entrepreneur with experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The SKALE network is supported by the Network Foundation for Decentralized Economy (NODE), a non-profit organization based in Liechtenstein.
The mission of the project is to make blockchain technology simple and cheap to use. They aim to create a secure network suitable for Web3.
Advantages of SKALE (SKL)
- There is a well-thought-out multi-chain system. This means that all nodes can simultaneously work in 8 chains. Nodes are assigned randomly. Moreover, they alternate to prevent collusion attempts.
- It is environmentally friendly. The innovative SKALE mechanism allows the network to efficiently distribute resources between nodes.
- This is convenient.Chain file storage is available. This allows dApps developers to store files locally, which creates new opportunities to integrate products (websites, apps, NFTs) directly into the chain.
Disadvantages of SKALE (SKL) h3> - SKALE is not currently accepting new validators. The network was designed to not register new validators, but this role is now closed.
