Dusk Network (DUSK) Cryptocurrency
DUSK is the native token of Dusk Network, a privacy blockchain for financial applications. Dusk Network provides solutions for financial markets. DUSK is a utility token of the platform, one of its functions is the deployment of smart contracts.
Dusk Network has a number of features that distinguish it from other networks, such as:
< div>- Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) ZKP is a technique that works like this: one party can prove to a second party that the first party knows a certain value without revealing more information than the fact that it knows this meaning. The biggest challenge here is proving that a party has some information without disclosing the information itself.
- Confidential Security Contract (XSC) Standard XSC is a security tokenization standard. It changes the well-known process of issuing, managing and trading securities. The main goal of implementing this protocol is to eliminate the middleman from the scheme. On the other hand, it makes it possible to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Separate Byzantine Agreement (SBA) SBA is a local consensus algorithm created in place of PoW, PoS and PoA. According to the Dusk Network website, none of the mentioned protocols are capable of providing a sufficiently high level of security and speed. Here's how the SBA works. First, blocks are generated. The entire number of blocks is then reduced to one potentially winning block, which is verified. If the verification is successful, the block goes into the chain.
History of the Dusk Network project
Dusk Network is a relatively new project. It started in 2018. It was a collaboration between technical and business experts. The first people on the Dusk Network team were Emanuele Francioni, Fulvio Venturelli, Jelle Paul, Pascal Putman and Mels Dees. Whitepaper V1.0 was published that same year. The second half of 2018 was dedicated to exploring and exploring opportunities. In 2019, Dusk ERC-20 and BEP-2 tokens were listed on Binance, Bitfinex and Bittrex Global. This was also the year the first public testnet was implemented. 2019 also saw the release of Whitepaper V2.0 and this was the beginning of XSC. This was a time of active work within the network. In 2020, all components of the network finally came together. This significantly improved network performance.
Advantages of DUSK
- Decentralization. Decentralization is one of the key features of the crypto world today. Dusk Network is not the first here, however, it is still one of the most important aspects.
- Confidential smart contracts. Dusk Network ensures confidentiality of transactions in smart contracts; this is important for financial applications and for protecting user data.
- Transaction confidentiality. Using Phoenix and new zero-knowledge cryptography methods such as PLONK, users' privacy is protected.
- Zero-Knowledge Proof. ZKP is an important part of protecting online privacy.
- High-speed. High transaction speed is what all users and all platforms want. This platform claims that they have excelled in this area.
DUSK Disadvantages
- Competition. As we said earlier, the Dusk network is quite new. This fact makes it quite difficult to talk about its shortcomings. However, it is still developing and competition in the market is becoming increasingly fierce.
