    Cronos (CRO) cryptocurrency

Cronos or CRO is a token ERC-20 standard launched by Crypto.com, a company with a truly noble goal: to make cryptocurrency attractive to as many people as possible and promote its adoption by both individuals and organizations around the world. The main benefits of using CRO are reaped when staking to help add new transactions to the blockchain. The creators of CRO encourage staking by reducing trading fees for Crypto.com users, providing rewards for staking other cryptocurrencies, cashback opportunities, and Visa cards with additional benefits and rewards.

    Cronos (CRO) Review

The ambitions of the Crypto.com team have always been strong: since its founding in 2016, the company launched an application, an exchange, a DeFi wallet, began issuing Visa cards, managed to attract Matt Damon as its ambassador, launched the Crypto.org network, and even renamed the stadium in his honor - Crypto.com never ceases to amaze. It was only natural for the company to realize that most of its products would benefit from the addition of a utility token. CRO was launched under the name Crypto.com Coin in 2018. CRO has since changed its name, amassed a long list of features, and is now linking up with Cronos, the successor to Crypto.org Chain, which is in beta and will launch in the second quarter of 2022.

    Benefits of Cronos (CRO)

    1. Carry out lightning-fast transactions. CRO facilitates the work of Cronos, Crypto.com's next blockchain project, which plans to process about fifty thousand transactions per second, each of which is confirmed in less than a second. Add low fees (which can also be paid with CRO) plus discounts for large CRO stakeholders, and you have the recipe for the perfect blockchain project.
    2. Building trust. Trust is not only earned reputation, but also strong partnerships. The creators of CRO have joined forces with Formula One Racing, the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the Water.Org project of Gary White and Matt Damon. The latter may be especially valuable due to the non-profit humanitarian nature of the project.

    Disadvantages of Cronos (CRO)

    1. CRO is not the first token of the project.Interestingly, CRO was not the only token used by Crypto.com. Before this there was MCO, a token that was abruptly and unexpectedly removed and merged with CRO with a swap rate of 1 MCO = approximately 27.6 CRO. This event shows poor communication with the Crypto.com community as public opinion was not taken into account. Some MCO holders were disappointed because they did not see any big public announcements made when organizing this change. This has also led to a decline in the value of CRO due to the sudden influx of exchanged CRO, which for many may be a sign of poor decision making.
    2. Facility or Gatekeeper? Crypto.com's quest to make cryptocurrencies that way While being as widespread and easy to use as fiat currencies is commendable, users are strongly committed to storing and staking CRO. Those who refrain from staking and holding CRO tokens will have to pay higher fees and have access to fewer features. Having to buy CRO at the very beginning seems like a pretty steep path to take, which may turn off clients who are just taking their first steps into cryptocurrencies.
