Bluzelle is a decentralized database solution for decentralized applications (dApps). It is built on the latest version of the Tendermint/Cosmos protocol. It focuses on the database, which makes it different from other file storage-oriented projects.
Bluzelle uses delegated proof-of-stake consensus. There are three main types of participants in the Bluzelle ecosystem: validators, delegators, and consumers. Consumers pay Bluzelle tokens to store data on the network. Validators run a Bluzelle node to provide storage space on the network and are responsible for verifying the authenticity of data transactions. They earn network transaction fees, which are paid by consumers. Delegates can also stake their tokens with one of the validators to receive staking rewards.
Bluzelle uses a two-token system: BLZ - ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum that can be exchanged for other external tokens. BNT is the internal token for all Bluzelle network transactions, allowing for faster transaction speeds internally.
BLZ and BNT can be exchanged through Ethereum-Cosmos’ own relay in a 1:1 ratio.
It is worth noting that investment companies NEO Global Capital, Kinetic Capital, Hashed, KR1, 1kx, as well as the Fintech group VC Lun Partners, True Global Ventures and Global Brains invested in the BLZ cryptocurrency.
History of the Bluzelle project
The idea of the project arose in 2014. The development team decided to use elements of blockchain technology to create a better, more reliable and stable ecosystem. Key figures in the Bluzelle project are Pavel Bains, the project's co-founder and CEO, and Neeraj Murarka, the startup's architect and CTO. Both have solid experience working in large companies and corporations. Neeraj has worked for IBM, Google, Lufthansa, Hewlett Packard and others. Pavel has collaborated with DreamWorks, Warner Brothers, and is also a co-founder of a major startup Storypanda.
