More about Scroll
Scroll is a second-level solution (Layer 2) for Ethereum scaling, built on zero-knowledge zkRollup technology and compatible with the Ethereum EVM. The core component of Scroll is the zkEVM virtual machine, which validates that EVM operations run correctly on the Scroll network.
Scroll adheres to the basic principles of ZK rollups, which include combining multiple transactions into one batch and creating a zero-knowledge proof (zk-Proof) outside the main network.
Key Benefits:
- Scalable. Scroll processes transactions outside the main network and provides concise proofs of validity on the Ethereum network. This results in significantly higher throughput and lower costs compared to the Ethereum mainnet.
- EVM compatible. Creating applications on Scroll is similar to developing for Ethereum. Any smart contract written in Solidity or Vyper for EVM can be easily deployed on the Scroll network.
- Public Vision. From the very beginning, Scroll development has been carried out in close cooperation with the Ethereum community. This approach brings together the best ideas and input from stakeholders, ultimately resulting in a safer, smarter architecture. Scroll's development roadmap is also being formed jointly with community members.
- Security. Scroll uses zero-knowledge proof technology (zk-Proof), guaranteeing a high level of security and reliability. < /ul>

User activity h2>
According to Blockscout, the current number of confirmed transactions is almost 200,000. At the moment, 191,816 transactions have been completed, the average number of transactions per day is 43,372, and the number of active wallets exceeds 40,000.
In terms of block creation, on average Scroll generates a new block every 3 seconds, and the total number of blocks created exceeds 106,000.
More than 3000 ETH transferred through the official bridge
According to Dune, currently to the main network Scroll transferred more than 3,000 ETH ($5 million).
As of 19 hours ago, there were more than 2,000 independent cross-chain addresses. Among them, the address 0x3f5401a9d0dd2390d1a8c7060672d4b704df6372 stands out, which contributed 325.5 ETH through four cross-chain transactions.
Most users who made cross-chain transactions only made one transaction. 10 addresses carried out more than 10 transactions. In terms of amounts, the majority of users (1312 addresses) contributed up to 0.1 ETH. Eleven users contributed more than 20 ETH.
According to Dune data, 17 hours ago TVL was more than $3 million. Judging by the multiple growth of TVL over the last day, we should expect a larger amount after the data update.
Official Bridge
The Bridge charges a constant commission regardless from the amount you transfer. At the time of writing, in order to perform a transaction from Layer 1, you were required to pay 0.01 ETH for gas. However, a little less was actually spent - 0.003 ETH.
What DApps do users use on the Scroll mainnet?
According to the tokens page ( https://blockscout.scroll.io/tokens) Scroll main network in Blockscout, The following projects attract the greatest interest from users: Merkly, Zonic on Scroll, PunkSwap Token, Skydrome, Scroll Name Service, Scroll Doge (zkDoge), Scrollswap Finance Token (SF), Script (SCRIPT) and Scroll Inu (Sinu).
Merkly is a feature-rich Omnichain solution that promises to work across multiple networks using LayerZero for cross-chain OFT (locking the MERK token and conducting cross-chain transactions) and ONFT (creating NFTs and conducting cross-chain transactions). Immediately after the launch of the Scroll mainnet, Merkly began supporting ONFT transfer between Scroll and other networks such as Optimism, Arbitrum, Avax and Polygon.
Zonic is an NFT marketplace on Layer2 Ethereum created by the Apetimism team. It was integrated into Scroll the day after the mainnet launched.
Skydrome is a Scroll exchange developed using the Velodrome concept. It uses liquidity incentives, voting and locking mechanisms to reward participants who contribute to the development of the protocol.
Scroll Name Service is a domain name project on the Scroll core network.
In addition, as is the case with other new public networks, many meme projects have appeared on Scroll.
However, since many projects are in the early stages of development, users are advised to interact with them with caution.
