    Testing the Big Time game

    Main points

    • To withdraw any funds from the game, you need to go through KYC. Russia is in a bathhouse.
    • You can’t play on a Mac, only Windows for now.
    • Earnings in the game did not live up to expectations - in 5 hours of play I managed to earn 11 Big Time coins or $2.5 with expenses $43.

    And now in more detail

Firstly, the game seemed interesting to us, since it was well promoted before the start and several X's were drawn from the moment of listing.

Which allowed it to immediately gain a foothold in the top P2E projects.
At the moment, with FDV of $1 billion, it is in second place after Axie Infinity

The token is trading in the range of $0, 20-0.30.

And secondly, information appeared on the network that you can earn $200 a day in the game.

Review of the P2E game Big TimeAnd we decided to check whether this is true actually.

    About the project

Big Time is a fantasy MMORPG with Play To Earn mechanics. The game was created by Big Time Studios, a company made up of gaming industry veterans with experience at Epic Games, Riot Games, Blizzard Entertainment, Electronic Arts and Decentraland. The gameplay of the game is based on exploring the open world, collecting resources, leveling up the hero and fighting various monsters.

    Financing

According to currently known  data, the team raised $21 million, including $10.3 million in the Series A round from North Island Ventures, Digital Currency Group (owner of CoinDesk), Blockdream Ventures, OKEx, Alameda Research, Circle, Ashton Kutcher's Sound Ventures. And an additional round of $11 million, the funds of which the company planned to use to finance the promotion of the project.

    Plot and gameplay

The plot is based on adventures in space and time. The player controls various timelines using a clock, and loots drops from mobs in locations that can be reached using portals.

The gameplay is a combination of the speed of God of War, mixed with co-op, as in World of Warcraft and Diablo, with a developed system for farming resources and gear. The world is divided into three areas. You have a large World of Warcraft style space, there's a City of Ages where you meet other players and can team up to explore and slay monsters in procedurally generated dungeons that can be entered in groups of up to six people. This creates enough variety in gameplay to keep you from getting bored.

    Testing

Since the beginning of the official launch, the team has created an artificial excitement with the fact that you can only get into the game using invite codes or VIP passes, which cost from $300.

    Pre-register on the platform -  https://openloot.com< !--/noindex-->

If you are from Russia, you need a VPN to download, install the client and play the game. Also note that you cannot withdraw money without KYC; for this you will need a foreign KYC, since the Russian Federation is in a ban.

The easiest option now to get an invite code is to monitor the official Discord of the project, where codes are dropped every few minutes, and here you need quick hands, since they are sorted first come first served.

If you really want to test the game, you can find codes on OTC (but it's not worth it) or ask in the community or Twitch streams.

After receiving the invite, the distribution will be available with the game, it weighs 10GB, download and launch.

First you need to go through training. If glitches occur, as for example for me, Schrödinger’s Cat did not allow me to go further, then you can try to change the server, where there are fewer people and try from there.

We run around, perform simple tasks, and along the way study the inventory and game mechanics.

Somewhere at level 5-6 (an hour and a half of play) you will get the opportunity to create a portal to your location (it’s called a metaverse, because it can be expanded by purchasing Spaces), you will understand the locations and can start farm tokens.

You can play completely free, but to farm BIGTIME tokens in the game you need an Hourglass hourglass. There are two options - buy a watch from the market (quickly, but expensively) or craft it (slowly, but cheaply).

To buy a watch from the market, you need to top up your personal account with crypto (USDC, ETH is possible ), but remember that the reverse withdrawal is only with KYC (RF in the bath).

The game time on this clock gradually ends and, after being reset, it must be replenished in your metaverse (with the help of additional elements)

We buy watches from the market:

When you hover over “i” you can find out how many watches they have and we take the more the better, for the minimum price.

For $43 I bought a watch with 200 minutes of farming time. At first, after the game's release, the watch would cost $15.

Now go to My Collection, Find the purchased watch and click Move to In-Game items. Next, load the game, go to inventory → Collection and on the left  choose your hours and minutes. Actually, now you can kill monsters and get tokens. They can be removed while moving between locations.

    Total:

    • The training took about 2 hours (cannot be skipped)
    • To buy a watch to check the mechanics - $43
    • < li>Token farming takes about 5 hours. Of these, about half are for specific hacks, the rest is for moving, selling loot, searching for teammates, etc.
    • Over the entire period, 11 BIGTIME tokens (~$2.5) were earned.
    • Various rare items drop out, but they are only sold in the game for simple coins. There are also resources and currency, but making money on them is also unrealistic

The test game was played both solo (in the early stages) and in teams of 3-4 people. Team item drops feel a little better. But BIGTIME tokens are still not enough for the game to turn into income.

Conclusion:  ;with such tokenomics and the game mechanism, you won’t be able to make money here.
