The Giza Project – A Framework for AI Agents
    Research
    25 January 2025

A sale page for the Giza project has appeared on Legion

However, there have been no official announcements from either Legion or the Giza team yet. Let's break down the project and then update the material once the sale conditions are known.

    TLDR

  • Trending narrative
  • Solid team
  • Top-tier Twitter followers
  • The project is already four years old
  • Sale date has not been announced
  • Russia seems to be banned again (sale page with KYC does not display for Russian users)
  • Small raise – $3M from Tier 2 and lower funds
  • No tokenomics yet

  • About the Project

Giza is a specialized framework for creating AI agents. It provides infrastructure for building, deploying, and managing autonomous agents that interact with blockchains and smart contracts.

Initially, the team created a protocol for decentralizing machine learning computations but later shifted focus to infrastructure for AI agents.

    Components of Giza

  • Giza Agents: A framework for integrating machine learning into on-chain strategies and actions, providing memory and reflection mechanisms to improve agent performance.
  • Giza CLI: A command-line interface for interacting with the Giza platform, offering utilities for managing agents and services via the terminal.
  • Giza Datasets: A repository offering datasets ready for use in blockchain-related machine learning tasks, simplifying access and work with large volumes of data.
  • Giza SDK: A meta-package that simplifies the installation and management of the Giza ecosystem, combining essential packages needed for development.
  • The team launched an autonomous AI agent for optimizing yield on the Mode Network (L2 EVM, FDV $405M) called ARMA. It automatically manages stablecoin deposits across Ionic, Layerbank, and Ironclad protocols to maximize profits.

Support for the Base network is coming soon.

The agent does not have its own token.

In the summer of 2023, the project raised $3M in a pre-seed round with participation from Tier 2 and lower funds, including Arrington XRP Capital, CoinFund, and others.

The project's Twitter is followed by representatives from a16z, Arrington Capital, Fabric Ventures, Delphi Digital, Electric Capital, IOSG VC, Multicoin Capital, as well as Andrew Kang, EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan, and others.

There is an ongoing campaign on Galxe: https://app.galxe.com/quest/giza

Tokenomics have not been presented yet.

    Team

According to their LinkedIn page, the company has 10-15 employees.

    They are based in Switzerland.

    GitHub Analysis

We asked artificial intelligence to share its opinion on GitHub.

    Activity and Update Regularity

  • Repositories like Luminair were updated in January 2025, confirming the team's activity.
  • Commit history shows that multiple developers are involved in the projects. For example, Orion is updated almost monthly.
  • Some repositories list different contributors, suggesting a distributed team.
  • Code Quality

  • The code is organized into logical modules, with clear naming of variables, functions, and classes, indicating a professional approach. For example, in Luminair, files and folders have a strict hierarchy that simplifies navigation.
  • Repositories include well-written README files, with launch examples, system architecture, and descriptions of key components.
  • Modern standards are used, such as strict typing and macros in Rust projects, which are characteristic of high-quality code.
  • Real Functionality and Development Depth

  • The main focus of the repositories is on applying ZK Proofs in machine learning (ZKML), which is relevant for decentralized systems. For example:
  • Orion implements ONNX Runtime in Cairo, supporting verifiable execution of ML models using STARK.
  • NumerAir allows for the creation and testing of neural network models in a blockchain context.
  • Complex algorithms are used, such as:
  • Zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-SNARKs, ZK-STARKs).
  • ONNX (Open Neural Network Exchange) for running machine learning models in blockchain environments.
  • Community and Interaction

  • There are active Issues and Pull Requests sections where developers discuss and resolve problems.
  • The number of stars on popular repositories (e.g., Luminair and Orion) indicates significant community interest.
  • AI Conclusion

Giza is a real project with professional developers, focused on using cutting-edge technologies like ZK Proofs and ONNX for blockchain and machine learning. The code and repository structure demonstrate a high level of sophistication. The project is actively developing, has technical depth, and an engaged community, ruling out the possibility of it being a scam.

    Interim Summary

The project looks interesting. If it were to move from Mode to Solana, it would tap into all the trending narratives. We are waiting for the sale conditions and tokenomics before deciding whether to participate.
